What is the Parade of Homes?

Twice per year, in spring and in fall, the Wichita Area Builders Association hosts several open weekends to tour specially selected homes in a collective Builders Showcase of homes. The Parade offers an opportunity for residents to see the newest and best that local home builders offer in the Wichita new housing market. A curated experience, the Parade offers potential home buyers an opportunity to compare floor plans and finishes, and see multiple possibilities back-to-back. Wichita Parade of Homes winners are awarded for the following categories:

Landscaping
Unique Features

Judges select standout new builds in these categories, selecting one type per price point of home and style of home. For example, in the $201,000-$250,000 price range, one duplex, one patio home, and one ranch home could be selected for the “Decorating/Merchandising” category.

Robl Building Co.’s 2025 Parade of Homes Awards

A spectacular 7,200+ sq foot home in the Flint Hills National Residences development near Andover, Robl Building Co took 2 awards on the build for 1102 E Flint Hills National Parkway. This 6 bedroom, 6 bathroom home (with 2 additional partial baths) features stone, painted brick and stucco exterior on a 1 acre lot with a gunite pool. There are spacious living areas, a gourmet kitchen with beautiful pantry space, and a 4 car garage. But where this home truly shone in the awards was in the Effective Design and Master Suite & Bath Categories. We took the win for the Ranch Home in the Over $1,000,000 price in both of these categories. A Traditional home with luxurious hardwood flooring, the design incorporates thoughtful indoor living areas on each level, including a living room with stone fireplace that overlooks the natural scenery, eat-in kitchen and formal dining area, and a separate office with a gas fireplace and built in bookshelves. The basement features a large living area and built-in bar as well as a sizable bonus area that could feature as a game room.

In addition, with impressive storage throughout the design, it’s no wonder the Effective Design category was the winner. The primary bedroom features a walk-in closet with built-in wooden drawers and floor-to-ceiling shelving. The kitchen’s pantry space is nearly a kitchen itself – with an additional sink, microwave and refrigerator area, and walls of shelving.
